PHI goes green

PHI GOES GREEN

One of our biggest goals in the further development of PHI is sustainability. Only a company that sets long-term goals, uses resources sparingly and designs processes as efficiently as possible remains fit for the future.

In order to firmly establish this idea in our corporate culture, we are already thinking about tomorrow and have set ourselves ambitious goals.

Will you accompany us on this way?

Unser Status quo...

Since January 1st, 2021, PHI has been using 100% green electricity and, thanks to the latest technology, has reduced annual electricity consumption by 20% compared to the previous year!

PHI participates in the dual system. We are pleased to have saved 415 kg of CO² for our consumer waste in 2020 just through the "green dot".

By the way, there is almost no industrial waste at PHI, because excess material such as sprues or rejects is regranulated directly on site and fed back into the cycle. Our goal is to prevent the loss of plastic granules along the entire supply chain - because plastic is a valuable resource that belongs in durable products - not in the environment.

In addition to the "zero granulate loss" initiative of the plastics processing industry, the purchase of exclusively renewable energy and high-quality recycling raw materials, we want to make an even greater contribution to environmental protection, because...

... we are already thinking about tomorrow today

That's where we want to go

We are already using 100% green energy. Today via energy suppliers, tomorrow supported by our own green power supply on more than 5,000 square meters of hall roofs.

efficiency

Plastic processing is energy-intensive! In order to use as much energy as possible, the waste heat from our injection molding machines is used to heat our halls.

Zero pellet loss because it...

... is good for the world, since granules do not belong in the environment, waste water and nature, ... is good for occupational safety, ... is good for the budget, since plastic granules are a valuable raw material.

No waste but raw material

More than 90% recyclate is used in the processing of polypropylene and PVC. Surpluses and sprues are regranulated directly via the mills. Metal waste is separated and recycled.

Travel responsibly

Business trips are essential for customer care. However, we try to plan our routes in such a way that we visit several customers on one trip and thus cover fewer kilometers. For this purpose we will use hybrid and electric vehicles in the future - and modern conference technology for online appointments.

We have it in writing

Our environmental efforts are certified by DIN ISO 9001 and e-on. In addition, we have committed ourselves to the GKV code of conduct and have joined the Pro-K initiative "Zero Granulate Loss".
